《国际政治科学》集刊由清华大学国际问题研究所(现为国际关系研究院)于2005年创建，2016年转为正式期刊。本刊定位于以发表科学方法研究国际政治学术成果的期刊。优先考虑时政性研究，旨在增加对于国际关系的科学认识，倡导国际关系理论流派和研究方法的多样性，致力于推进采用科学的方法和借鉴其他学科知识研究国际关系，提倡理论研究和政策研究相结合的方式，促进有更高学术价值和现实意义的创新性研究。
本刊主要刊登有关国际关系理论、国际安全、国际政治经济、外交学、区域与国别研究、对外政策、研究方法的学术论文，尤其重视与中国的对外政策和亚太国际关系相关的研究成果。同时适当刊出学术性较强的综述文章和书评。
为确保用稿的公正性和客观性，本刊采取国际通行的匿名评审制度，以保证所发表文章能为国际关系研究作出切实的学术贡献。
The Quarterly Journal of International Politics is from Tsinghua University’s Institute of International Studies (now formally titled the Institute of International Relations). It was founded in 2005, and became an official journal in 2016. The journal was decided in order to publish periodicals of scientific research methodologies of international political academic achievements. The journal takes precedence in political research, which it aims to increase the scientific understanding of international relations, advocate for the diversity of international relations theories and research methods, and is committed to advancing the use of scientific methods and learning from other disciplines of knowledge of international relations. The journal advocates for an integrated style of theoretical and policy research, and promotes innovative research of higher academic value and practical significance.
Journal publications are primarily concerned with international relations theory, international security, international politics, international political economy, diplomacy, regional and country studies, foreign policy, research methods of academic papers, and in particular, China’s foreign policy on international relations in the Asia-Pacific and related research. Simultaneously when suitable, publications that are academically strong review articles and book reviews will be published.
In order to ensure the impartiality and objectivity of drafts, the journal has adopted an internationally accepted anonymous review system to guarantee that articles published will make a practical academic contribution to the study of international relations.
国际政治科学栏目编者寄语、国际关系预测
1、本刊要求研究论文必须有创新性，内容充实完整;研究快报必须含有首创性成果;研究简报着重要求创新性;文献综述应由该领域内知名专家结合本人近年研究成果完成，要求有较强的前瞻性和指导性。
2、我刊严禁一稿两投，重复内容多次投稿(包括将以不同文种分别投稿)以及抄袭他人论文等现象。一旦发现有上述情况，该作者的稿件将被作退稿处理，同时通知所在单位严肃处理，并向材料领域兄弟期刊通报。我刊将拒绝发表联系作者作为主要作者的所有投稿。
3、上传电子稿件应为WORD(*.doc)和LaTeX(*.tex)文档，排版时请采用双倍行距，以邮寄方式投稿的打印稿须单面打印。所投稿件必须含有高质量的照片和曲线图(建议用Origin制图，再拷贝到文档中)。文稿务求论点明确、文字精练、数据可靠。在正文前，各加5个以内"关键词"和300字左右的摘要"。参考文献20条以上，要能反映该学科近年来的发展情况。
4、 稿件审查结果一般在2～3月之内通知作者，有个别稿件可能送审时间较长，如果超过3个月后仍未接到审稿结果，作者可与编辑部取得联系后自投它处。
5、 稿件的作者必须是直接参与研究工作或对其有重要指导作用的成员(如研究生导师等)，协助做实验的人员可放入致谢中。作者人数请控制在6人以下，严禁与论文无关人员挂名。联系人请注明姓名、性别、年龄、职务、职称、学位等自然情况。
6、 论文如果是省部级以上任何一种基金资助项目，请注明基金号，放入Acknowledgement栏目中。
7、 通过审查后需要修改和补充实验的稿件，最晚不超过4个月将修改稿返回编辑部，如有困难需及时向编辑部说明情况，半年不返回，按自动撤稿处理。
8、 论文发表后，版权即属编辑部所有，其中包括上网的版权。
